Day 4: A Sunrise Ride, a Swim… and a Surprise Encounter!
Share
There’s something special about starting the day before the rest of the world wakes up. This morning, I was on my bike at 5:30 AM, heading to Kings Beach for my Day 4 session of the #90DayMoveYourBodyChallenge. The air was crisp, the roads were quiet, and as the sun began to rise, I was reminded why movement first thing in the morning is the ultimate game-changer.
After arriving at the beach, I hit the water for a 45-minute swim. There’s nothing quite like the ocean in the morning—fresh, cool, and completely reinvigorating. It was smooth, peaceful… until it wasn’t.
💥 Enter: The Spotted Stingray.
One minute, I was cruising through the water, and the next—BAM—there it was, right in my line of sight, gliding beneath me like something straight out of a nature documentary. My heart definitely skipped a beat! But after the initial shock, I took a breath, steadied myself, and reminded myself that this is their home—I’m just a visitor. It was a little moment of adrenaline in an otherwise calm and refreshing swim.
By 7:30 AM, I was back home and straight into work—feeling energized, focused, and ready to tackle the day. This is exactly why I’m doing this challenge. Movement fuels everything—it sets the tone, clears the mind, and keeps me sharp.
🔥 Lesson of the Day? Expect the unexpected, whether it's in the water, on the road, or in life. Just breathe, adapt, and keep moving forward.
