In 2014, Kym and Jo Masters left the corporate world to follow a cheesemaking dream in the Adelaide Hills. Inspired by the great alpine traditions of Europe, they began crafting small-batch Australian cheeses using local milk and time-honoured techniques.

Section28 Artisan Cheeses is proudly based on Peramangk Country, with its name a nod to Section 28 on the cadastral maps — the very patch of land where their journey began.

Each cheese is aged with care and intention, allowing the richness of the raw milk to shine. The results are cheeses that reflect the unique terroir of the Adelaide Hills.
